Below is what is meant to be the most complete listing of event listing links for the region. If there’s something we’re missing, let us know!

Powell River / qathet has a strong arts and culture scene, but the listings are spread across venues, organizations, festivals, and social media pages.
The Patricia Theatre and qathet International Film Festival site is the main place to check for Patricia Theatre programming, film screenings, ticket information, and qathet film society updates. The Patricia Theatre is owned by the qathet film society, which also produces the qathet international film festival. The Patricia Theatre Showpass page is also worth checking for ticketed screenings and events.

The qathet Museum and Archives community events page provides information about museum participation in festivals, markets, pop-up exhibits, activities, and other community events.
It’s also worth checking the qathet’s annual events page on this website, which lists the regularly-occuring annual events for Powell River and the region.

Powell River / qathet Facebook Groups
Facebook feels like one of those unavoidable parts of small-town living. Facebook Events continue to be one of the more practical places to check for informal and semi-formal local listings, especially for pop-up markets, music nights, workshops, fundraisers, and venue-based events.
There are a LOT of Facebook groups for the region, and I am working on a spreadsheet type resource that’s meant to be the most comprehensive listing of such groups… Subscribe to the Applied Awareness newsletter if you want to make sure you hear about it when it goes live!
For now, I have just two pages for you to check out:
- The Powell River Community Events Calendar Facebook group is useful for events that may not make it onto formal websites. Facebook groups are often where smaller events, pop-ups, workshops, fundraisers, classes, and last-minute updates are shared.
- The qathet Events Facebook group is a community-based listing space for events around Powell River, Texada Island, and the broader qathet region.
More Sections On The Way…
- qathet Region annual events (e.g. PRISMA)
- Markets, Food, Farms, and Vendors
Suggest a Missing Calendar
This list is meant to be practical, not perfect. If there is a Powell River / qathet event calendar, venue page, community listing, festival page, market page, or recurring event source that should be included here, please get in touch!
The goal is to make this the most complete central list of event-listing links for Powell River / qathet, without pretending that one person can keep every individual event updated in real time.
